Practice making a Real Page--Due 11/29 (Wed.)

With Mrs. Brinkman's help, choose a page from one of the old CMR or PA or AZ? annuals (I'd rather you not use an old Central one) and recreate it. You can use a two-page spread between two people so you can share one annual. You will have to match the fonts, sizes, colors, graphics...everything except the images. Use Microsoft Publisher--let's see how well you used the tutorials and practice lessons :) Have fun!!

Publisher Practice--DUE 11/14 and 11/21

Read the Working with Publisher Templates document--may want to print it so you can check off assignments as you complete them.

Assignments 1 and 2 are DUE 11/14. Turn in a black/white printed version.

Assignment 3 is DUE 11/21. E-mail file to Mrs. Zook (szook@greatfallscentral.org) from the webmaster account or your own hotmail or yahoo account. *Mrs. Brinkman must supervise you using a hotmail or yahoo account.

Using Webmaster E-mail Account

To send an e-mail to Mrs. Zook using the Webmaster account:

Click the Check E-mail link on the school web site
enter e-mail address: webmaster@greatfallscentral.org
password: mustangweb
click "Login"

When the account opens, click "Compose"
To: szook@greatfallscentral.org
Subject: (your name) (assignment)

to attach a file:
scroll down, click "Browse"
select your file, click Open
Click "Attach"

Click "Send"

**Sometimes Sofast has problems logging in--just keep retrying 3-4 times and will usually go in**

Introduction to Publisher--DUE 11/3

One of the other goals of this class is to be able to create posters, flyers, and yearbook pages for the school. We will use Microsoft Publisher to do this.

1. Go to Start, Programs, Microsoft Office, and Publisher 2003 to get started. Then press F1 (help). Click on Table of Contents and then "Creating a Publication". Click on "How to Create a Publication in Publisher". That will open a step-by-step Help window. READ AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Choose "Create a publication using one of the pre-designed templates"

Assignment 1: Create a Music Program for Madrigal. Send the file to me as an attachment to an e-mail. You may send it from the webmaster@greatfallscentral.org, mustangweb account from the "Check e-mail" link on the school site. Be sure to write a message so I know who it is from. DUE: 11/3
